Turning a personal website into a galaxy you can enter

It began as a small page, passed through mood boards, prototypes, launch, a node tree, HomeRooms, and the water-galaxy, and became the proof that ideas can be made real.

This is not a shell for a résumé. It works more like an ever-edited making-of film: every redesign leaves a shot, and every shot answers the same question—how can a person be seen without being sorted into a label?

Production Reel

How It Grew

The timeline is not a pile of versions. It is the theme becoming clearer: from what I have to how I am understood.

  1. 00

    Small Page

A deep-blue preview page came first: Field, Making, Ideas, and Bookshelf were already there, along with the line “walking, listening, writing.”

  2. 01

    Mood Board

The boundaries were set: delicate, calm, able to make; borrowing dusk cobalt and afterglow, but never becoming a cold résumé or someone else’s fairytale.

  3. 02

    Homepage Prototype

Claude Design turned “my record,” Cover Flow, a meridian-like nav, and the sundown gradient into the first visible visual standard.

  4. 03

    Astro Launch

The prototype became Astro components, with trilingual pages, CMS, local editing, OSS deployment, and wupeihan06.com.

  5. 04

    Node Tree

Four threads were not enough, so the site became a node tree: a node with children is a hub; a node without children is an article.

  6. 05

    HomeRooms

The entrance shifted from a linear scroll to four rooms. Visitors choose a direction inside a small universe.

  7. 06

    Water Galaxy

The homepage galaxy became the stage: water, point-line-plane, 3D astrolabe, ion transition, cover flow, and opening animation.

  8. 07

    Ecosystem

The Japan map, Akari, WIP pages, AI/SEO structure, InkBoard, and gateways turned the site into an operating workspace.

What It Is Now

A trilingual Astro static site; an arbitrary-depth content tree; a homepage galaxy built from water, points, lines, planes, and a 3D astrolabe; an explorable Japan fieldwork map; and a long-running system with Akari, WIP states, AI-readable structure, and a local editor.

Field

Field is not a category; it is a method: real places, visits, and materials.

Making

Making is not showmanship; it is evidence that a feeling can become a working system.

Archive

Archive is not storage; it is a record growing slowly.
